• Each player is dealt the same number of cards, starting with five.
• At the beginning of a round, players must declare their expected number of tricks to win. The last player to speak cannot provide a bet that would allow all players to succeed. For example, if the cumulative number declared by the prior players is 4, they cannot subsequently declare a bet of 1.
• During gameplay, the objective is to win the number of tricks previously wagered. The rules are straightforward: players can play any card, and a card's strength is determined by its number (21 > 20 > 19 > ... > 1).
• The "Excuse" is a unique card that can be played with its strength indicated as either 0 or 22.
• Scores are calculated at the end of each round after all cards have been played. The game then resumes with four cards per player.
